June 11, 2018Ah June! The busiest month for birthdays in my family…which inevitably means an empty purse and stressing about buying the perfect gift (especially for my little sister who is an amazing gift buyer herself so I always feel under pressure!)
So this month’s lust list is focusing on gifts that don’t cost the Earth and would be well appreciated by certain family members!
My lust list
For the stationery lover…
I first came across this company when they were based in Salford in a cute little shop. They moved to Scotland but have an online presence (thank god!) I love giving notepads as gifts – even though we are all glued to our phones/laptops etc, I love writing things on paper – even if it is just a shopping list!
For the gin lover…
I have seen this pineapple gin in a cool gin shop near me and I want it! (I mean, I want to buy it as a gift for someone…)
I am intrigued to taste it – apparently it was commonplace in the 1920’s but then fell into obscurity. I think this would make a really unusual gift and something perfect to sip in the summer.
For the interior obsessed one…
I adore the items that Rose and Grey stock. They are based in Altrincham, Manchester but you can order online too. Faces are a key interior trend at the moment and I love these planters.
For the one who loves to smell good…
Buying fragrances is a very personal thing so I would only leave this type of gift for a friend/family member who you know really well!
My sister would particularly love this body mist and I know anything from Jo Malone means that I’m onto a winner!
For the makeup obsessed…
I recently had a make over at Fenty Beauty based in Manchester’s Harvey Nichols and bought A LOT of makeup afterwards because I was impressed.
I now have a [slight] obsession with highlighter because it just brightens your face. This Fenty highlighter is amazing! I love it and I know that the person who receives it would love it equally as much!
For the coffee drinker…
As we all know, we have to look after the environment and throw-aways cups are adding to the rubbish problem we have because they are difficult to recycle. What about getting a reusable cup as a gift?

For the one with a foot fetish…
Summer is approaching which means sandals, strappy shoes, flip flops and bare feet. It also means that your feet may need some TLC. This foot cream moisturises dry, scaly skin to leave beautiful soft skin!
For the plant lover…
There are lots of companies now who provide this service but it would be different to gift a plant subscription. This particular plant box subscription delivers a statement plant every three months.
For the stress head…
You cannot go wrong with a scented candle…even if you are a big burly bloke! Old Man and Magpie are a company that I have discovered through Instagram and subsequently seeing them at Makers Markets around the North West.
For the fashionista…
…kind of! I am forever losing one sock out of a pair so these are amazing!!! Who says that socks have to match with each other? These odd socks would go down a treat.
